My name is Virgílio and I grew up in the town of Mandevo in the district of Namaacha and joined the day care entre Girassol in 2007 together with my brother after we had lost our father.
At that time, my family was facing many challenges, and the centre gave me the stability I needed to focus on school and my future. With access to education and vocational training, I became a qualified electrical technician.
Today, I run my own small construction company in South Africa and have built a home for myself. I am able to support my family and continue developing my business. The centre was an important part of my journey. It encouraged me to work hard, believe in my abilities, and build my own path.
I grew up in Namaacha and lost my father when I was still young. In 2006, I joined the day care centre of Namaacha at a time when my family needed support and stability.
A few years later in 2013, while I was still in school, my mother also passed away.At the centre, I found hope and strength. I was able to continue my education and complete vocational training in welding and metalwork. The support I received helped me stay focused on my goals and believe that I could build a better future for myself. As the oldest of four siblings, I took on responsibility for helping my family.
Today, I run my own small workshop where I produce and sell metal products. I continue improving my skills and working toward expanding my business. The Centre played an important role in my life. It supported me at a crucial time and helped me move forward with confidence. I am building my dreams step by step.
